I've had a two really bad nose bleeds this week and it wouldn't stop? What could be causing this .?

I had one on saturday and one last night and my right nostril just kept gushing blood and wouldn't stop for a real long time . Does anyone know what could be causing my nose bleeds ? I've never had a nose bleed before this .
